During the Council meeting on Tuesday May 27th, Councilwoman Patricia Zamorski read into the record a Proclamation to recognize May 19th through May 23rd, 2025 as Emergency Services Week. The theme of the week was "Rising to the Challenge".
National EMS Week, observed annually, is a time to pay tribute to the men and women who work tirelessly to provide emergency medical care, often in high-pressure and life-threatening situations.
EMS professionals are the first responders in medical emergencies, ensuring critical care is delivered swiftly and efficiently. The week also serves as an opportunity to educate the public about the services EMS provides, and how individuals can contribute to emergency preparedness.
Manville's recognition of National EMS Week serves as a reminder of the critical importance of emergency medical services and the individuals who make them possible. Whether responding to a car accident, providing care during a medical crisis, or stepping in during a disaster, EMS professionals are integral to the fabric of public health infrastructure.
Members of the Manville Rescue Squad were on hand to accept the Proclamation on behalf of the entire Rescue Squad. We thank each and every one of them for their continued service to Manville Borough.
