Voters across Manville turned out in strong numbers on Tuesday for Election Day, casting ballots early, by mail, and in-person as residents made their voices heard in races spanning federal, county, and local offices.

Running for public office demands time, commitment, and long hours spent meeting with residents, often at the expense of family and personal time. ManvilleToday extends its appreciation to every candidate who stepped forward to serve this year.

Although official certification will not occur until November 18th, early results reported by Somerset County election officials indicate the following projected winners:

• U.S. Senate: Cory Booker (D)
• U.S. House of Representatives: Dr. Adam Hamawy (D)
• Somerset County Commissioner: Paul Drake (D), Elizabeth Graner (D)
• Manville Borough Council: Melissa Bellamy (D), Christine Abood (D)
• Manville Board of Education (3 year terms): Louis Petzinger, Dorothy Martinez Garcia, Kimberly Fleming
• Manville Board of Education (1 year unexpired terms): Kelly Harabin, Christopher Fletcher
