ManvilleToday is excited to share a series of updates to our app and website -- all shaped by feedback from the residents who rely on us every day. These improvements are designed to make it easier for our community to stay informed, connected, and up‑to‑date on everything happening in the Borough.
If you currently have our app, make sure you update it! If you don't yet have ManvilleToday's app, download it on Google Play or the Apple App Store. It's free! No paywalls here.
One of the most noticeable additions is our new Weather Center, which now features active alerts and real‑time updates to help residents prepare for changing conditions. Whether it’s a winter storm, a heat advisory, or a sudden shift in the forecast, the Weather Center puts timely information right at your fingertips.
We've also added a Community Calendar, offering a clear, more detailed view of Borough meetings, events, and important dates. From Council sessions to local events, residents can now quickly see what’s coming up and plan accordingly.
New Features Summary:
- Weather Center to view Manville's current weather conditions, hourly forecast, extended forecast, and current river information for the Raritan and Millstone.
- When notifications are enabled in the app, you'll receive not only normal notifications when new articles are published, but also weather and local alerts. This includes weather watches and warnings. Local alerts are those issued by Police & OEM, for example.
- The calendar will show when certain meetings are held, such as Borough Council, and other meetings such as Board of Education. The calendar will show you when recycling days are, and community events. As events are announced, they will be added to the calendar.
- Searching for articles has never been easier. Simply tap on "Search" in the app, and search for articles using keywords. This is helpful to find something you wanted to read or find.
These updates are part of our ongoing commitment to delivering reliable, accessible, and user‑friendly local news. As Manville continues to grow and evolve, ManvilleToday will keep working to ensure our digital platforms meet the needs of the community we serve.
More enhancements are on the way -- and as always, we welcome your feedback as we continue improving your local news experience.
