Manville Library Closed Due to Temperature

The heatwave is still underway for our area, and isn't expected to break until after July 4th. The Manville Library serves as Manville's official cooling center, however, the library has closed due to the interior of the building being over 80 degrees.
The Somerset County Library System, of which the Manville Public Library is a member, requires that any library facility be closed when indoor temperatures reach 80 degrees or higher.
ManvilleToday called the library, and received a pre-recorded message: "Today is July 3rd 2026, and the Manville Library is closed due to temperature. We will reopen on Monday, July 6th. Thank you."
Per Manville OEM, if needed, the Community Room at the library and Borough Hall Council Chambers can be used as cooling centers.
