On Sunday, August 23rd, Manville's community came together at Lincoln Park in Lost Valley for "Alex's Heartbeat Horsepower Show," a classic car show featuring dozens of classic cars and other vehicles, along with music and food.

The car show was hosted by SpinCity Motor Club, which describes itself as a "passionate community of enthusiasts dedicated to bringing people together through horsepower, heart, and hometown pride." The group hosts various events throughout the area that give back to local causes.

Sunday's event was no exception. Countless Manville families came out to support Manville's own Alex Monto, who has faced many medical issues requiring treatment. He has undergone brain surgery and six open-heart surgeries. Many in Manville follow his updates on social media, where his family keeps the community informed.

When the event concluded at 2pm, trophies were awarded to various cars and vehicles that participated in the show. But before those trophies were presented, Alex received a check for $2,500, which will help his family with his recovery and care costs.

There was also a 50/50 raffle. In another gesture of kindness, the winner immediately donated the prize money back to SpinCity to support the cause.

The event showed once again how Manville's community comes together to support one another. Even the weather cooperated, with a pleasant day following heavy rain showers overnight.

The show was not only a fun opportunity to explore the many cars on display, but it also supported a good cause. Participants came from beyond Manville, with many traveling from other locations to take part. It showed the true power of community spirit, and Sunday's event was no exception.
