Manville's Snow Emergency went into effect at noon. All vehicles needed to be removed from Manville roads by 4pm. ManvilleToday has received reports that any vehicles still remaining on Manville roads are actively being ticketed & towed.

The New Jersey Office of Emergency Management has issued a mandatory travel restriction beginning at 9pm. All non-exempt vehicles are prohibited from operating on state, county, municipal, and interstate roadways during this period. The New Jersey Turnpike is exempt from the restriction.

The heaviest snowfall will occur throughout Sunday evening into Monday. Make sure your phones and devices are charged, in the event the strong winds cause power outages.

Locally, here's what's affected:

  • Manville's Snow Emergency is in effect until further notice. This means no vehicles parked on Manville roads.
  • Manville Schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday February 23rd.
  • Residents with Monday garbage pickup has been rescheduled to Tuesday, February 24th.
  • The Borough Council meeting for Monday will be held virtually at 7pm. (Visit www.manvillenj.org for the meeting info)
  • Borough Hall will be closed on Monday.
