The Manville tradition continues this year as Christ the Redeemer Parish has its 58th Summer Festival. Homemade Polish American food is a fan-favorite in Manville.

There were games for children to play, from basketball to knocking down cans, to win prizes. For those 18 years of age or older, the money wheel is back, along with a lottery ticket dart game. Nightly 50/50 drawings too, and a "Super Cash Raffle" that goes off on Saturday at the end of the festival.

The main attraction has always been the food. People from all over the area visit Manville to enjoy Polish American food. From pierogies, stuffed cabbage rolls, to the all-inclusive "Polish Platter" which has a little bit of everything, everyone has their favorite food at the festival.

And don't forget about the potato pancakes. The festival actually uses a number ticketing system to avoid having to stand in line.

The festival's hours are 6pm to 9pm, and runs through Saturday night, July 25th. It is located at the church grounds on South 2nd Avenue, right off of Main Street in Manville.

The weather this week has been cooler with no rain, and it's a great community event for all to attend.
