Manville.Today is back providing residents with information that is important. During the election season, Council meetings were mostly uneventful. There was not much to report on.

Once Election Day concluded, the next Council meeting had approximately 30 resolutions and 2 new ordinances on the agenda. The question becomes how much policy will the Mayor and Council enact before the new candidates are sworn in?

We will be digging into the important topics to keep you informed. We noticed at the last Council meeting there was tension and disfunction with the Mayor & Council. We'll be covering this information over the next several articles.

The 2024 election results appear to be finalized. All ballot counting has been completed, including Vote by Mail and eligible provisional ballots.

Manville Borough Council had 2 seats up for election, with 6 candidates vying for the two seats.

Democratic candidate Patricia Zamorski received 1,643 votes and Republican candidate Joseph Lukac received 1,637 votes. They will be Manville's next two Councilmembers.

Mayor Onderko's two hand-picked candidates lost the election by a large number of votes. If you go back to the Primary, the Mayor had his extra candidates nominated by petition in case his incumbents lost the primary. The Mayor's preferred candidates lost both the Primary and the General Election.
