Since launching Manville.Today in 2024, we have been humbled by the response received regarding our website and reporting. We've heard from countless residents how they read Manville.Today regularly. It keeps everyone informed about the actions of the Mayor & Council.

We've decided to take Manville.Today one step further, and are pleased to announce the launch of our FREE apps for your smartphone and tablet!

You can read Manville.Today on the go, and stay informed with the latest news articles as they are published. We'll even send you a notification to the app once a new story is ready to read. We've even made it easy to share articles with people you know.

What started as a small project to keep residents informed about Borough Council evolved to being a reliable source of information that residents have come to trust.

Borough of Manville Governing Officials

Manville operates as a Borough form of government. This means that Manville is a "strong council / weak mayor" form of government. When votes are taken by Council, it takes 4 votes for a motion to pass. If there is a tie, only then can the Mayor break the tie.

For Council control by political party, there needs to be at least 4 members, or 3 with the Mayor being a tie-breaking vote.

Manville NJ has been under Republican control since 2015. The Council is made up of 5 Republicans and 1 Democrat. The Mayor is a Republican.
